Masons Ironstone Definition
Mason's Ironstone refers to improved earthen ware made by Charles J. Mason, in his pottery in England. Mason's Ironstone was strong stoneware which became household china. The wares were translucent and transfer- printed. They were decorated with Japanese inspired designs and were available in blue, orange, gold and other colors.
