Martin Brothers Definition
Martin Brothers pottery was set up by Robert Martin in England. He was joined by his brothers Charles, Walter and Edwin Martin. The brothers are regarded as early pioneers of studio pottery movement. The salt glazed stone ware made by the brothers influenced by Gothic Revival is known as Martinware. The most famous production of Martin Brothers is the Wally birds and sculpted face jugs.
