KTK Definition
KTK refers to utilitarian wares and dinner wares made by Taylor & Knowles Company of East Liverpool, Ohio. The initials of the company formed its trademark. In 1853, the company was started by Issac W. Knowles. From 1891 to 1895, the company also produced fine bone china, known as Lotus Ware. In the 20th century, the dinnerware made by the company was ornamented with decals. Later in 1928, Taylor & Knowles merged with American Ceramic Corporation. In 1934 it closed down.
