Folio Definition
The term folio in the context of antiques refers to a sheet or leaf in manuscripts. Folio in manuscripts is a leaf with two pages. The first page is recto and the second is verso. Folios were used only for prestigious printing in the early history of printing. The term folio refers to the size of the book also.
