Flags Definition
Antique flags of US is considered as a rare collectible. One of the methods to date the flag is to count the number of stars in the flag. Since each star represents each state the number of stars refers to the period where there equal number of states. For example, flag of 1912 will have only 48 stars referring to the 48 states of the period.
