Erickson Definition
Erickson is a type of glass founded by Carl Erickson in Bremen, Ohio. Erickson glass was made during the 1943-1961 period. A wide variety of handmade art glasses similar to Scandinavian and Italian designs were produced. Free-blown and mold-blown glasses were also designed and made by Carl and Steven Erickson. Erickson glasses used flame design. Carl Erickson used controlled bubble design in heavy glass ball shaped bases. Erickson glasses generally come in dense colors.
