Efflorescence Definition
Efflorescence is defined as a formation of a whitish crusty deposit found on the surface of rocks, bricks, walls, or tile. Efflorescence is formed as a result of capillary action of the mineral rich water that comes on the surface and evaporates. Usually, efflorescence contains calcite, salt, or gypsum.
