Buckle Definition
Buckles are those lumps or bulges that appear on canvas in an artwork. Usually these lumps occur when there is an element of extra moisture in the painting and also when the canvas dries unevenly. Buckles in artworks may be avoided by reducing the moisture content in such canvas.
