Balloon Framing Definition
Balloon framing is a system of construction of wooden building frames. Light weight walls called studs are used in balloon framing and the studs cover the entire height of the frame. This method was mainly used in Scandinavia and in the United States. Buildings of Queen Anne and Shingle-style buildings are examples of this method.
