Alkyd Resins Definition
Alkyd resins are synthetic resins that came into use in the 1920s. Alkyd resins are good binders. They are used in organic coating because they exhibit good drying and adhesion properties. They are used in improved modern building paints, finishes, and varnishes. Alkyd resins are also used as a painting medium. Artists use them with oil paints.
