Threaded Dances: Debra Bermingham

This exhibition of Debra Bermingham’s paintings are as elusive and mysterious as a landscape enveloped in mist. Images emerge slowly, sensuously from delicately layered surfaces. Veils of blue-gray to pearl-white shroud empty or barely populated space. Glimpsing objects—a fragment of a vessel under full sail, a teapot, a moon—through the mist, we are unmoored from time and place. We have entered an enchanted land, a dreamscape. And as in a dream, wonder, delight, puzzlement, and discovery are ours.
