Taking Back Detroit

July 15, 2016 - January 31, 2017 -  This exhibit features photographs from a recent National Geographic story that explores the city of Detroit’s comeback since filing for the largest municipal bankruptcy in U.S. history in July 2013. Michigan State University alumna, Susan Ager, wrote the National Geographic article, “Taking Back Detroit.” The photographs from that story, taken by photographer Wayne Lawrence, a newly created National Geographic map of Detroit, and featured MSU Detroit-related research make up the exhibit.
