Hooked@LIM: The Crocheted Tree Project

July 19, 2015 - January 1, 2018 - In this exhibition you will marvel at the magnificently-colorful crocheted trees on our campus, the result of an exciting community-based public art project that was a collaboration between the museum, the artist who conceived it, Avalon Park and Preserve, Inc., in Stony Brook, and the more than 200 volunteers who helped to complete it.  Volunteers have made and sorted over 4,000 crocheted pieces of various sizes and colors, which have been carefully assembled and wrapped on 5 trees.
