Friends and Neighbors: A Celebration of the Collection

February 13, 2016 - July 9, 2017 - This exhibition will introduce over sixty never before exhibited acquisitions given by donors with ties to the Roanoke Valley, created by such renowned artists as Thomas Cowperthwaite Eakins, Jack Levine, and John James Audubon as well as contemporary artists such as Robert Rauschenberg and regional luminaries among others. The exhibition will also present archival elements to demonstrate the works' significance in art history.
