Andy and Kosti
The exhibition Andy and Kosti explores the friendship between Maine artists Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009) and Kosti Ruohomma (1913-1961). Both found Maine an inexhaustible subject in which to practice their respective arts, and in particular were fascinated by the relationship between people and their environment, Andy in particular with the Olson House and siblings Alvaro and Christina Olson; and Kosti, who photographed the hard working people of midcoast Maine with honesty, sensitivity, and grace.
