James Lee Clutter/Colt (1922-2005) semi-abstract impressionist painting of a seated Geisha in profile. A student of Sergei Bongart and influenced by Velasquez and Goya, Cullen worked primarily in California and Arizona. Clutter changed his name to Colt in 1977. Oil on canvas, signed top left, framed 36 1/4" x 30 1/2". Note: The artist is primarily known for scenes of the American West and Native Americans.
