Martin Puryear: Multiple Dimensions

May 27, 2016 – September 5, 2016 - The exhibition is organized by the Art Institute of Chicago in close collaboration with the artist and includes many works that have never before been shown. Puryear’s works have particularly strong resonance for SAAM as the artist was born and raised in Washington, D.C., and the exhibition features artwork and material relating to two of Puryear’s major local monuments: Bearing Witness  and Vessel.
