Land, Sea, and Spirit: Alaska Native Art from the 19th and 20th Centuries

July 12, 2016–October 19, 2016 - This mini exhibition features highlights from the McClung’s Alaska Native collections, and an array of material culture from both the Iñupiat and the Yup’ik. The mask, carvings, and other objects reflect both cultures’ worldviews, including their ceremonial and daily activities, which center around the seasons, their land, and the sea.
