Cosmogonic Tattoos Exhibition and Window Installation by James Cogswell

June 2-July 30, 2017 - This exhibition will feature visual interpretations of objects in the Kelsey Museum’s collection, demonstrating how they have stimulated innovation in the practice of a contemporary artist, James Cogswell. The exhibition will coincide with the artist’s window project to be installed in April of 2017, on the exterior of the south side of the Upjohn galleries. Cosmogonic Tattoos will complement the window project (April – October 2017) by highlighting drawings and other studies made in preparation for the mural and documenting the various stages of digital design, fabrication and installation of the mural itself.
