A Renaissance Man: The Art of Fred Marcellino
In this exhibition Fred Marcellino’s artwork can be divided into three categories: his editorial work for magazines, his record cover and book jacket designs, and the crowning achievement of his career—his children’s book illustrations. In each arena, he quickly became one of the best. A consummate draftsman, Marcellino employed watercolor and color pencil to sensitively portray characters and settings, often creating unique perspectives and historically accurate locales.
