Formed in 1971, PPGBA serves both established and emerging portrait, advertising, wedding, and commercial photographers in the Bay Area and Northern California. PPGBA is committed to promoting the quality and growth of the profession, keeping members informed about our industry, and helping fellow photographers by sharing their collective experience. PPGBA is a California corporation and recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association. PPGBA is one of the largest local affiliates of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). (PPA and PPGBA are separate organizations with independent governance and dues.)
